Obviously, it's best not to come in contact with a skunk; but there is help if your pet does get sprayed.

 

 

 

Skunk Smell Deodorizer

 

Mix Together

  • 1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • Small amount of mild shampoo (Allergroom or Baby shampoo)

Wash and rinse well. A second dose may be needed.
Skunks are high on the list for carrying Rabies.  If your pet comes in contact with a skunk, contact your veterinarian.  Depending on the status of your pet's Rabies vaccination, your veterinarian will inform you about the necessary precautions that you should take for the safety of your pet and your family.
