Charles VanHusan, DVM, cVMA
Veterinarian
Originally from Southwest Michigan, Dr. VanHusan attended Michigan State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, then his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine as a member of the class of 2007 - and a classmate of Dr. Mike. As a student, Dr. V received several honors from his instructors, peers, and organizations involved in animal healthcare.
Professionally Dr. V has a strong interest in internal medicine and pain management and completed additional training to become a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist (cVMA) in 2019.
Dr. V has experience in small animal general practice and emergency medicine and has also taught courses in anesthesia and surgery for students training to become veterinary technicians.
In his free time, Dr. V enjoys the outdoors, especially trout fishing; home improvement projects, time with family and friends, and cheering on the Spartans.
Dr. VanHusan lives in Port Huron with his wife Julie, three stepchildren, and their Shih Tzu-terrier named Chewy.
